I am looking to get into better shape, I have become overweight, and don't know the best way to start.  Are there personal trainers that will work with me on a short term basis.  Maybe even a session by session basis.  I think that ultimately it is up to me to do the work, but I am looking for someone to show me what exercises to do and how to do them.

  • The most important part of your workout is that it is a workout that is designed to help you acheive your exact goal. In your case you stated that weight loss and good form and alaignment of exercises is your interest. The best part of working with a personal trainer is that you get a crash course in exercise education,a support check system, an exercise perscription designed for you,accountablity and a overall unserstanding of you need to do lose weight and get fitter !  When you are motivated exercise is easy,especially when you see results after every workout.

Hi,

A session by session basis is fine by me. I do believe it is ultimately up to the individual to acquire optimum health and fitness.  I am part of a team of personal trainers with www.PoshFitness.com and we cater to individuals that like to train from their home.  We are affiliated with some gyms but encourage people to work out from home and show you how simple and small most exercise tools are which need very little space; i.e. kettlebells, TRX trainers, exercise balls etc.

Hi, my name is Max Bukhover and I'm a personal fitness trainer working in the Westchester area.  I have been doing in home training for a few years and previously worked for gyms in NYC.  I usually train my clients at their home 1x or 2x per week for an hour each time.  The session consists of a 50 minute total body workout followed by a stretch.  Some people prefer to start with a10 workout package and then go on to exercise on their own.  Session by session is also a possibility.  I'm not sure what your schedule looks like and mine is not very flexible right now, but I do have a couple of hours a week I can work with.  My number is 646 431 9026.  website www.nogymhomefitness.com (for more info).  Call me if you have any more questions.
