A contractor paved our road which is privately owned by a lake association.  He made the new surface 7" higher than the drive to my house's gravel parking area. I had asked that the road edge be tapered or ramped, but he is not returning calls, neither is the assn.  Do I have any recourse?  This  giant curb we have to drive over is unsafe, and will be a problem in snow.  What would it cost to fix? It is 40 ft of length,  and about 2ft. wide that needs to be ramped up to the 7" height of the road with fill, gravel and blacktop.

One answer is to add additional asphalt to ramp to a proper grade or melt the existing asphalt to make a grade.
