My front entrance has 5 steps and a landing (concrete) and has an iron railing set into the cement on both sides of the landing and steps.  The railings are 30 years old and pratically disintegrating.  Can the railings be replaced and with PVC or vinyl railings and secured into the cement?  I'd like to have this work done asap and would like to know the cost as well.  Thanks!

Hi,

Vinyl or P.V.C might not be strong enough to support weight that you can hold on to.  Another metal Railing -- all included $75 and up per linner foot.  It's possible Pressure treated wood would work down both sides.  My best esstimate to you without really seeing it would be $500 not stained. Plus if concrete stairs and landing need repars this would be extra.

Please call me , my name is Andrew at 914-438-4667 and we will make an appointment same day or next to give and accurate estimate.  Thank you
