There is a number of reasons this problem can occur.

Was their any issues with the computer that lead up to the computer crashing?

Overheating, hard drive is corrupted, random crashes from bad memory are just some of the reasons that can cause this problem.

That can be caused by several things:

A bad spot on the hard drive, a missing file of windows, an infection, or a driver conflict. Whatever it is, I can probably fix it without doing a wipe a re-install of Windows (losing all of your files, pictures, programs, music, e-mails, etc). It may take me 30 mins, but it typically takes longer (infections take longer to remove because they hide and break portions of windows). I could give you an estimate once I have your computer.

CPU crashes can be caused by many reasons. I think based on your decscription it sounds like it may be a corrupt Master Boot Record (MBR) or in other words some type of Hard Drive corruption.

Often this can be fixed with little or no data loss. The proper way to do this is to run a utility to check the disk structure and scan for surface defects. Worst case scenarios usally include data backup and migration and reinstallation of the operating system, again this is worst case scenario.

Consult A Pro can offer you in-home service for $110.00 to fix the error, if this does not fix the error we will take from site and do a system restore, this OS reinstall costs $125.00 you are NOT charged both fee's either one or the other based on the actual outcome.

The OS reinstall includes the following:

Restore OS to factory default Settings

Apply the latest patches and security upgrades

Migrate up to 4.5 GB's of Data (Programs MUST be reinstalled and you MUST have the original disks we can only back up data NOT programs)

Install Printer and Connect to Internet (if available)

Install up to 2 programs (Usually Anti-Virus and Office)

Please call us today to book your appointment.
