How does ZOOMNIA work? ZOOMNIA customers use us for one of two reasons -- to find advice from specialists, and/or to hire someone in their local area. We pass their questions on to qualified specialists, like you. You review the questions, and, if you decide you’d like to respond, you have the option of sending a response directly to a customer. We charge a $2 fee for this, which is well worth it, as you start a relationship with someone who already needs your services! Your answer will always be published on our ZOOMNIA Answer Forum for free. Lots of people, including people doing web searches, will notice your expertise and can contact you. How do customers submit their questions? Customers submit their questions on the ZOOMNIA website. We encourage them to provide as much detail as possible to make it easy for you to serve them successfully. How will you let me know when I receive a question? You'll be notified by e-mail. Whether or not to respond is totally up to you. Remember, only the first three responses from specialists will be delivered directly to the customer’s ZOOMNIA account. How do I respond to a question? Choose from three ways – all of them easy! 1. You can choose to respond to a customer directly. We forward your customized response, with your contact information and qualifications, right to the customer. What a great way to jumpstart a relationship with a potential customer who has an immediate need for someone with your expertise! A $2 fee applies. Well worth it! Your answer will also be published on the ZOOMNIA Answer Forum. (see #2!)How many specialists can respond directly to the customer? We don’t want to overwhelm our customers. Once the first three specialists have chosen to respond directly to the customer (the $2 fee will be deducted from your account balance), the question will be closed. How do I quote on the job? Same as you always do. It's between you and the customer. We don’t interfere, and we don’t take commission. We’re happy just doing what we do. How do I know if a customer wants to hire my business? Most customers will get in touch with you quickly, because most of them have an immediate need. However, they can hold onto your responses in their ZOOMNIA accounts for as long as they want and some may take longer to contact you. In the meantime, they are probably telling their friends about you and your great answer. Do I pay ZOOMNIA a commission if I get a new customer? No. No fees. What you bill your new customer is 100% yours. What happens to my response if I don't get the customer? Your response will always be published on our Answer Forum after 48 hours. Again, there’s no charge to you. Each response stays there for at least six months, so thousands of Internet searchers can find you and contact you. Will I get stuck in a contract with ZOOMNIA? No. The only obligation you have is to give high quality answers and service to customers. What does ZOOMNIA expect of me, as far as answering questions is concerned? Mainly three things: 1. Don’t answer a question if you can’t serve the customer’s need. You may know the answer, and you’re only trying to help, but if you can’t follow up with actual service, we’d rather someone else take a crack at it.What if I want to stop receiving questions from you? Just call or email us and we’ll remove you from our list of specialists. The only reason we can think that you might do this is if ZOOMNIA brings you more business than you can handle. What a nice problem! How does it benefit my business to be part of ZOOMNIA? ZOOMNIA gives you access to potential customers at little or no cost to you. These customers are excellent prospects, because many need your service right away! ZOOMNIA allows you to show off your expertise to the community. And, you have the chance to provide helpful answers to customers who now know who you are and may call you at a later date. What if I like to work in a small local area and don't want to waste time with inquiries from outside my area? That’s one of the many advantages of ZOOMNIA. We don’t waste your time. When customers ask their questions, they indicate their zip code so we can connect them with businesses in their local area. That means you'll only be receiving local requests. However, if you think a customer is too far away from you, you’re under no obligation to respond. No one will ever know you received the question. How do I know that I will receive "good questions"? Our customers are serious and specific about the services they need. They come to ZOOMNIA to "specialist shop" rather than "price shop" This type of customer tends to ask very good questions. Plus, we give customers “tips” on how to write their questions so you can better serve them. Of course, you’re under no obligation to respond. (But if you don’t, watch out! Another business will!) Where do you serve residents? For now, ZOOMNIA focuses on Westchester County, NY, but will soon expand to new areas. How many other businesses are working with you? We have hundreds of local businesses in diverse categories such as pediatricians, personal trainers, carpenters, antique jewelers, psychologists, schools, photographers, dentists, kennels, realtors, mortgage lenders, and many others. You submit a question at ZOOMNIA.com. We speed your question (but not your name or contact information) to qualified specialists in your local area. For example, instead of, “I need a personal trainer so I can get in shape,” how about, “I need a personal trainer in the Scarsdale area who can come to my home in the early a.m. three times a week. I’d like to do weight training, and I have the equipment.” See? Like that. The more details, the better the answer, and the better prepared your specialist will be to answer you. How will I get my answers? As soon as your answer is available, ZOOMNIA will e-mail you with a link that will send you straight to your answer. When will I get my answers? That varies, of course. Some questions can be answered quickly. Others require more time. You can be sure that your answers will be developed just for you. What will my answers look like? Specialists will answer your question as precisely as they can. They are committed to helping you solve your problems and will be providing information, advice and a service offering, if appropriate.
