One method for removing this type of stain is to apply red dye spotting solution cover with a towel use a hot iron for heat, to tranfer the dye to the towel.

Servpro of Greenburgh/Mt. Pleasant, located in Sleepy Hollow just 5 minutes from the Tappan Zee Bridge, is pleased to provide you assistance with this question.

When stains or pet urine are fresh, blot them as dry as possible with a clean white towel.  Do not rub as you may spread or set the stain.  Deep cleaning of the spot is usually required to complete the job.  There are several spot scrubbers on the market that work well for home owners on the occasional stain.

Servpro has cleaning agents for a variety of stains and urine issues, and can usually to a great job removing them - depending on how long the stain has had to set.  Red dyes in general are tough to get out, and if the urine stain happens to be from a cat, these are the toughest to completely deodorize.

Servpro provides several different deep cleaning processes for carpets and rugs.  Contact us for pricing information.
