There is ongoing litigation against many major pharmaceutical companies concerning a variety of drugs. Drugs, by their nature, can have serious side effects.  Every presciption drug is sold and marketed with printed information which warns doctors of these known side effects.  Pharmaceutical companies will not be held responsible for adverse effects of taking their drugs if the company warns of the possible side effects. If the company knows of the drug's tendency to harm, but does not warn doctors of this tendency (or, worse yet, hides or alters the data about the drug's safety, which has happened recently), then the company can be held responsible for your injury. Drug companies now routinely advertise directly to consumers. But the warnings that are most important in a lawsuit the warnings or lack of warnings to be evaluated are those that were given to the doctor.

Our firm, Clark, Gagliardi and Miller (www.cgmlaw.com) has successfully sued drug companies. These cases are often complex. My  name is John Rand, and I am a pharmacist as well as an attorney. Please call me (914) 946-8900 or use email (jrand@cgmlaw.com)   to tell me which drug is involved so that we can evaluate your potential lawsuit.
