I have a 17 year old son, who is in very desperate need of learning social graces...table manners, social greetings, body awareness, etc...  I would like to find him private instructor and he is available all summer.  Late afternoons or weekends would work best for his schedule.  We would also consider small classes.

Greetings,

Thank you for your interest in the New York School of Etiquette & Protocol! I
teach private sessions and group sessions in the New York & New Jersey areas. Courses will be offered throughout the summer and we will have private coaching sessions available by appointment only.

Since 1992 our network consultants have traveled throughout the country
presenting etiquette and self-improvement programs for clubs, schools, non-
profits and corporations. We receive numerous requests from corporations and
schools asking for implementation of etiquette classes. I act as ‘another
voice’ through gentle encouragement to guide my young professionals toward self-
awareness. My goal is giving individuals the confidence and poise that comes
from the knowledge and use of proper etiquette techniques.

Yes, manners are a much needed life skill, yet most people have little experience
with manners and etiquette. Good manners are not always taught or followed in
the home environment. Often times, individuals feel uncomfortable with new
situations and people. Good manners are equated with competence. Young
professionals need to be prepared to enter the workforce. The business
environment is competitive. Ask yourself this question, "At what income or
occupational level are good manners unnecessary?"

Here's a little promo piece I just included in a seminar promotion for a local
corporate presentation.

Did you realize you have only six seconds to make that all-important first
impression? Projecting and maintaining a professional image is essential to
career success. Your actions and mannerisms speak for you. A well groomed
appearance and polished behavior demonstrate confidence.

How can you appear competent and in control? Be poised! Poise equals power.
It builds confidence that leads to a positive attitude. More importantly, it
allows you to successfully handle life’s daily challenges.

Finding and keeping the perfect job isn't easy. More jobs are lost due to poor
attitudes and personality conflicts than from a lack of employment skills. And
let’s say that everyone is equally educated and dedicated to his or her
career. How can you stand out in the corporate crowd?

Good manners!

Even if others are better looking, better dressed, better educated, manners
give you an edge. (If you want to be more colorful, use....Even if your co-
workers look like supermodels, dress in designer fashions and work 12 hour
days, manners give you an edge.) They instill the confidence and increased
self-esteem to be a business and social success.

Self-improvement is a continuing process that lasts a lifetime. Let this be
your way of life. Only then will you be the best you can be!
